Easing Anxiety Through Body Awareness
Returning to the body through movement, breath and awareness.
When we think about anxiety, we usually think about the mind: racing thoughts, constant worry, anticipation, difficulty switching off.
But anxiety is also felt in the body.
It can appear as a restricted breath, a tense jaw, raised shoulders, a feeling of pressure in the chest, or a pelvis that has stopped moving naturally.
When this way of being continues over time, we can become used to it without even noticing.
The Body Plays it´s Role in Anxiety
What we think and feel influences the way we breathe and move. And the way we breathe and move can also influence how we feel.
As the body begins to release tension, we may notice that the breath has more space, the spine moves more easily and our posture requires less effort.
It is not about correcting the body.
It is about feeling it again.
Why Pay Attention to the Pelvis?
The pelvis is at the centre of the body and connects the legs with the spine.
When we are tense or worried, it can lose some of its natural movement. Other areas — the neck, shoulders or jaw — may then start doing more than necessary.
We may experience this as stiffness, tiredness, difficulty breathing comfortably, or simply as a feeling of “holding” the body.
This is why, in my sessions, I pay particular attention to the pelvis and its relationship with the breath, the spine and the rest of the body.
Through simple, mindful movements, we explore how to regain more space, comfort and ease.
Moving with no Effort
In my sessions, I do not try to place your body into a particular posture or teach you to do things the “right” way.
I guide you to feel how you are using your body and to discover other possibilities.
Sometimes a very small movement can make a big difference: breathing more easily, releasing unnecessary tension, feeling the support of your feet more clearly, or allowing the spine to move with less effort.
It is not about doing more.
It is about finding a way of moving that feels more natural.
Each session is individual and adapts to you, your body and what you need at that moment.
When the Body Regains Space
As we begin to let go of unnecessary holding, we may experience:
- More comfort
- A more natural posture
- Greater freedom of movement
- Easier, fuller breathing
- More stability and balance
- Greater body awareness
- A sense of calm and space
My work integrates Yoga, Feldenkrais, Qi Gong, Body-Mind Centering and principles of Shiatsu, with particular attention to breathing, perception and movement.

You don’t need a studio at home or any previous experience.
Online sessions work because much of the practice is about feeling, observing and exploring movement.
Through the screen, I can guide you, observe how you move and offer small explorations adapted to you.
I have been accompanying women online for the past six years and have found that this work can also be developed with depth and presence online.
We are not trying to become more flexible or to do everything perfectly.
We are looking to restore a true connection with your body.
Returning to the Body
Anxiety can keep us living in what has not yet happened: anticipating, thinking, trying to control.
Conscious movement offers another possibility.
Coming back to what is happening now.
Feeling the support beneath you.
Noticing the breath.
Becoming aware of where you are making effort.
And, little by little, feeling more present in your own body.
If you feel that you are carrying too much tension, that your breathing has become restricted, or that you find it difficult to relax even when you want to rest, we can explore together another way of moving and inhabiting your body.
